Female
Dam: A Paca Fun's Jasmine
A striking maroon daughter of Aussie .38 Special, Cabernet combines 2 powerful lines in her pedigree. Her dam, A Paca Fun's Jasmine, is the silver gray full sister of A Paca Fun's Norrington our 8 X champion black herdsire. Cabernet has an excellent phenotype, full coverage, and an ultra fine fleece that forms into drapy bundles. Her uniform fleece is also extremely bright with a wonderful crimp structure. Given the long-lasting fineness on both sides of her pedigree we expect her to maintain lifelong fineness even as a production dam. As both parents are classic gray, Cabernet could be bred for either solid or classic gray offspring. She is an exceptional female and would be a valuable addition to any program breeding for fine, uniform color. Cabernet comes with a breeding to an A Paca Fun Farm’s herdsire. Depending one which way the buy wants to go we would suggest either CCNF Elixer or A Paca Fun’s Supersonic. Congratulations to Gerald Perron and Janette Archambault of Ariya Alpacas, Bolton-Quest Canada!

Dam: MMAF Kiya
A Paca Fun’s Paramour is one of the finest gray females we have produced. You often have to wait months to see how a cria will develop to know what you have, but that was not the case with this female. Sired by Aussie 38 Special, and out of a champion maroon dam, Paramour is a full patterned, spotless, “pink” tuxedo gray. Her fleece is well organized with excellent uniformity and crimp structure. Dam: A Paca Fun's Moulin Rouge
The best way to describe Double Take (nicknamed DT) is to first say that he is the full brother to A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic. True to his name, Sonic zipped past his show competition Fall 2013/Spring 2014 winning 8 consecutive color championships, including AOA and MAPACA…. as a 2 year old Double Take carries exactly the same fleece quality as his older brother in terms of uniformity, fineness and crimp architecture, the difference being he is an incompletely expressed rose gray. Watching his fleece develop we see, not surprisingly, that Double Take is “graying out” as he ages. We expect that DT will be lasting fine. His grandsire Silver Legend has a 21 micron fleece at 116 months of age. It will be exiting to watch this boy develop!

Dam: Krystal Lynn
There’s a history with this name. More than 5 years ago a black male was born at A Paca Fun Farm. He was a nice little boy, but naming him became such a challenge that we had a naming contest as part of a Fiber Festival we held one weekend. That little black boy was named A Paca Fun’s Norrington, and he went on to win 9 championships, the last at 5 years of age. Flash forward to the Spring of 2013. Silver Legend of KPR had again been bred to Krystal Lynn, and a new little black boy is born. It’s hard to tell at only a few months of age, but as of right now Worthington is looking just as good as his big brother!

A Paca Fun’s Cavalear is the product of a maroon dam and Aussie .38 Special. When he was born he looked very much like a suri. Today Cavalear is your typical bubble headed crimp monster. His fleece is soft and fine, with great handle. He has already shown well in tough competition, winning a first at MABA and 2nd at CABO, and his 2015 histogram came back as one of the nicest we’ve seen! 2015 (OFDA 2000) AFD 15.39 SD 2.67 CV 17.33 CF 100%

Dam: KBA's Enlighened
Representing a unique blend of some of the best gray genetics that exists in the world today, Mach 4 is the product of 4 generations of tuxedo gray alpacas in our breeding program. Both sides of Mach 4’s pedigree are stacked with layers of multi champions too numerous to list here. His sire, A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic, being true to his name, “broke the barrier” to become the first gray male to win a Judge’s Choice award in halter competition. His dam, KBA’s Enlightened, is a 10X banner winner in her own right, taking color champion in both halter and fleece at MAPACA in 2013. Mach 4 himself is a total package. He combines fineness and uniformity with excellent crimp structure and density. All of this is packed on a square, heavy boned frame, with upright, proud presence. Keeping with the family tradition, Mach 4 is already competing well in the show ring being a frontrunner of the juvi division of our show string. Given the depth of his elite gray pedigree that excels in uniformity of micron, color, as well as lasting fineness, we fully expect Mach 4 will be a spectacular herdsire! He would be a wonderful addition to an established breeding program, or an excellent foundation sire for those looking to jump into gray. Congratulations to Happy Hounds Alpaca Ranch, Red Granite Ranch, and Annie's Alpaca Ranch on adding this male to their programs!!

Every once in a while you find a “magic” sire x dam cross that consistently gives you outstanding results. Such is the case with the pairing that produced Silver Legacy. He is the 5th of 6 excellent cria out of this cross, 4 of whom we are retaining which is the only reason we are willing to let him go. His full siblings included 8X champion Silver Sensation (dam of A Paca Fun’s Ridiculous) 5 X Champion Aurora (another of our stellar production dams), and champion male I Am Legend who we have retained as a herdsire. Silver Legacy is a typey full patterned tuxedo silver gray that checks off every box in the breeder’s want list. He is upright and correct, with good coverage and bone. His fleece is uniform silver gray (no spots) with good fineness, and has 3-dimentional crimp and density. Combining the Rincon Cloud and Silver Legend lines, Silver Legacy comes from powerful genetics, but is conveniently unrelated to many of the other top gray lines in the country. This makes him a good pick for breeders looking to add their first gray male, or established programs looking to diversify their genetics. Silver Legacy has been a main member of our show string and has done well in shows, but we suspect the best is yet to come, as historically his line really blossoms starting at age 2. We look forward to seeing what this boy can do both continuing in the show ring and as he starts his breeding career.

It is the goal of every breeder to produce excellent alpacas consistently. Alpacas that are prepotent, reliably passing on their excellent qualities year after year give us greater confidence that their offspring will produce the same way. Both of Sonic Phantom’s parents have been very consistent producers for us! Phantom himself is a very typey true black male destined for the show ring. His frame is solid and boxy, and his fleece is bright with good organization and crimp structure. Phantom’s genetic line has shown themselves to be lasting fine, often holding the AFDs they have as juvis well into their mature production years (his paternal grandsire, Silver Legend of KPR, is holding stats of 20.33 / 3.98 / 19.67 / 97.68 at 14 years of age). Beyond excellent fleece, his pedigree is also very color consistent. His Sire regularly produces silver gray and black out of non-black dams, and his dam has only given us silver gray or black. We expect Phantom to carry on the consistency of his pedigree in both fleece, and color production!

Dam: A Paca Fun's Carbon Copy
A few years ago we did something fairly crazy for a gray program. We bought half interest in in a light beige male with no heavy color in his pedigree. Convinced that CCNF Elixir would allow color to pass we precedes to breed him to black and gray females in our herd. The results have been pretty spectacular, producing color in nearly all of Elixer's cria. This boy, A Paca Fun's Drambuie, is the result of crossing Elixir with a true black dam. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, adding only that Drambuie took first place in the 2018 AOA spin off competition. Given the depth of color on his dam's side Drambuie could easily be folded back into a colored or gray program.

Dam: Paragon's Paisley
As a breeder it's rewarding when a genetic cross works consistently! This has definitely been the case with Paragon's Paisley X A Paca Fun's Super Sonic, Sonic Thunders parents! To date we have 3 boys out of this cross. This spring they all showed in the MAPACA Jubilee halter show, and the AOA National Fleece show, and we were quite please with their results :) (See image for results) While the younger full brothers exhibit more of their dams color, Sonic Thunder is closer to his sire, with an even dark rose gray blanket and partial pattern on his face. All of the siblings are very square and typey, and have wonderfully bright fine fleeces, Thunder himself is holding a micron of 18.48 / 3.54 / 19.16 / 99.56 at 23 months of age! He is only offered for sale because we have 3 full brothers and can't keep them all! He is of breeding age now, and we can't wait to see what he will do!
