Ricochet is the true black daughter of champions on both sides of her family tree. Her sire, Silver Legend of KPR won seven consecutive color championships as a yearling. Her dam Naomi, herself a Champion herself, is the daughter of the Bolivian national champion, Acero Marks's Champ. Ricochet's first cria is a wonderful brown out of our sire Adirondack! Ore Hill Windsor has been a stellar dam for our farm. She has produced not one but two banner winning cria for us. A Paca Fun’s Adaline is 4th generation out of our breeding program on both the sire and dam’s side of her pedigree. Blending several strong black base lines with a little elite fawn thrown in, she is a unique genetic package. She carries the traits of her fawn grandsire but has the genetic consistency to reproduce black. Ebony’s fleece is also dense and displays a well-defined, architecture across her blanket. Put all this on a solid frame and you have a show ready package! Combining the Silver Legend of KPR, Emerald Farm’s Rincon Cloud, and Aussie .38 Special lines, Fiesta is quite an impressive genetic package! It’s always nice to have an animal out of an amazing sire, but in Fiesta’s case her dam is just as nice. A Paca Fun’s Aruora (a 5 time champion) is one of our rockstar production dams and a key member of one of our best production lines. Fiesta fleece is extremely fine and uniform, with a well defined crimp structure and excellent brightness. Conformationally she looks very much like her dam. Only time will tell, but with the amount of solid genetics behind her, we suspect Fiesta to be a knock out producer herself!. Fiesta comes with a breeding to any of A Paca Fun Farm’s unrestricted herdsires. If the buyer wants to shoot for gray, either A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic or A Paca Fun’s Ridiculous would be excellent choices. If you would rather play in the lighter end of the color pool, CCNF Elixir would be a superb match as well.

When breeders pair a sire and dam they hope to combine the best traits of each. Sometimes this works, sometimes not. Thankfully, when we saw the cria this pairing produced it made choosing a name very easy! Living up to her name, Mirror Image (aka Mira) carries a dense fleece with a high frequency crimp style found on both her sire and dam. This is combined with a typey head, and a square frame makes her a complete package. Given the strength of her genetics, we fully expect Mira to produce many reflections of her own. You often have to wait months to see how a cria will develop to know what you have, but that was not the case with this female. From day 1 we knew she was special, and as she has grown she has continued to impress. The youngest of our Shades of Gray offerings, Charade represents a blend of……well, most of the elite genetics in our herd. She represents our core gray bloodlines crossed with our best solid color, and as such she can be bred for either high quality gray or solid color. Her sire is a multi champion light brown (now co-owned with Colin and Joy Scott of Highland Airs Alpacas) and her dam is a full sister to A Paca Fun’s Intrigue, the get of Silver Legend of KPR. Charade herself is very well framed with excellent coverage. She is very strong and solid. We were stunned with the fleece regrowth on the girl (fleece shown at 2 months growth!) Too young for histogram measurement, we can tell you her fleece presents excellent organization, density and uniformity along with excellent brightness. Sired by Snowmass’s Matrix, we were able to catch “black” from her dam to produce the A Paca Fun’s Ember. Her dam, A Paca Fun’s Carbon Copy, is a TB full sister to our 9X champion TB male A Paca Fun’s Norrington (Silver Legend of KPR X Krystal Lynn). Solid black and silver gray genetics on her dam’s side suggest Ember will herself be able to pass black to her cria. Solid, square and phenotypically correct, with full coverage from brow to feet, Ember also has a uniform fleece that the Judges have appriciated! Ember has shown 5 times against tough competition and placed no lower that third. Ember comes with a breeding to any non-restricted herdsire owned by A Paca Fun Farm and Paragon Alpacas

Combining two of the best gray bloodline in North America (Aussie .38 Special and Silver Legend of KPR) Gypsy Danger blends many of the best aspects of both, through her champion sire and dam. Her conformation is solid and square, and combined with excellent coverage and phenotype. Beyond that, “Danger Girl” (farm nickname) has a fleece with a uniform blending of crimpy and well aligned lighter and darker fibers, and good density. Her 2016 histogram came back at ADF 17.45 SD 4.04 CV 23.13 CF 100%. All of that put together and you have a total package! A Paca Fun's Luna is a classic silver gray with multiple champions on both sides of her pedigree. The best way to describe Double Take (nicknamed DT) is to first say that he is the full brother to A Paca Fun’s Super Sonic. True to his name, Sonic zipped past his show competition Fall 2013/Spring 2014 winning 8 consecutive color championships, including AOA and MAPACA…. as a 2 year old Double Take carries exactly the same fleece quality as his older brother in terms of uniformity, fineness and crimp architecture, the difference being he is an incompletely expressed rose gray. Watching his fleece develop we see, not surprisingly, that Double Take is “graying out” as he ages. We expect that DT will be lasting fine. His grandsire Silver Legend has a 21 micron fleece at 116 months of age. It will be exiting to watch this boy develop!

Endeavor is a spotless rose gray male out of 4 generations of black and gray. His mother, Salsa, is one of our foundation females that started our gray herd. His sire is Silver Legend who as and 8X color champion himself, has produced champions again and again. Endeavor's fleece is fine and dense with good crimp.

Both of Rubicon's parents are banner winners. His Dam, McGwire's Pauline is rose gray. His sire, SPA Adirondack is fawn, and has won 8 color championship. The most recent of these as at the age of 55 months. Rubicon shows the best traits of both parents. He is a striking maroon color, and is square and correct in his frame. His fleece is soft, dense and shows good crimp architecture.

A Paca Fun's Troy is a fawn son of our 8 x banner winner SPA Alpacas Adirondack. Troy has a solid pedigree of color with his dam being a maroon sister to Silver Legend. He is a solidly conformed male, with soft, crimpy fleece.

There’s a history with this name. More than 5 years ago a black male was born at A Paca Fun Farm. He was a nice little boy, but naming him became such a challenge that we had a naming contest as part of a Fiber Festival we held one weekend. That little black boy was named A Paca Fun’s Norrington, and he went on to win 9 championships, the last at 5 years of age. Flash forward to the Spring of 2013. Silver Legend of KPR had again been bred to Krystal Lynn, and a new little black boy is born. It’s hard to tell at only a few months of age, but as of right now Worthington is looking just as good as his big brother!

Aerosmith is a very typey black male that has already proved himself in the show ring, always placing either 1st or 2nd as a juvie. We’re sure he will do just as well as a yearling. Every once in a while you find a “magic” sire x dam cross that consistently gives you outstanding results. Such is the case with the pairing that produced Silver Legacy. He is the 5th of 6 excellent cria out of this cross, 4 of whom we are retaining which is the only reason we are willing to let him go. His full siblings included 8X champion Silver Sensation (dam of A Paca Fun’s Ridiculous) 5 X Champion Aurora (another of our stellar production dams), and champion male I Am Legend who we have retained as a herdsire. Silver Legacy is a typey full patterned tuxedo silver gray that checks off every box in the breeder’s want list. He is upright and correct, with good coverage and bone. His fleece is uniform silver gray (no spots) with good fineness, and has 3-dimentional crimp and density. Combining the Rincon Cloud and Silver Legend lines, Silver Legacy comes from powerful genetics, but is conveniently unrelated to many of the other top gray lines in the country. This makes him a good pick for breeders looking to add their first gray male, or established programs looking to diversify their genetics. Silver Legacy has been a main member of our show string and has done well in shows, but we suspect the best is yet to come, as historically his line really blossoms starting at age 2. It is the goal of every breeder to produce excellent alpacas consistently. Alpacas that are prepotent, reliably passing on their excellent qualities year after year give us greater confidence that their offspring will produce the same way. Both of Sonic Phantom’s parents have been very consistent producers for us! Phantom himself is a very typey true black male destined for the show ring. His frame is solid and boxy, and his fleece is bright with good organization and crimp structure. Phantom’s genetic line has shown themselves to be lasting fine, often holding the AFDs they have as juvis well into their mature production years (his paternal grandsire, Silver Legend of KPR, is holding stats of 20.33 / 3.98 / 19.67 / 97.68 at 14 years of age). Beyond excellent fleece, his pedigree is also very color consistent. His Sire regularly produces silver gray and black out of non-black dams, and his dam has only given us silver gray or black. We expect Phantom to carry on the consistency of his pedigree in both fleece, and color production!

A few years ago we did something fairly crazy for a gray program. We bought half interest in in a light beige male with no heavy color in his pedigree. Convinced that CCNF Elixir would allow color to pass we precedes to breed him to black and gray females in our herd. The results have been pretty spectacular, producing color in nearly all of Elixer's cria. This boy, A Paca Fun's Drambuie, is the result of crossing Elixir with a true black dam. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, adding only that Drambuie took first place in the 2018 AOA spin off competition. Given the depth of color on his dam's side Drambuie could easily be folded back into a colored or gray program.

As a breeder it's rewarding when a genetic cross works consistently! This has definitely been the case with Paragon's Paisley X A Paca Fun's Super Sonic, Sonic Thunders parents! To date we have 3 boys out of this cross. This spring they all showed in the MAPACA Jubilee halter show, and the AOA National Fleece show, and we were quite please with their results :) (See image for results) While the younger full brothers exhibit more of their dams color, Sonic Thunder is closer to his sire, with an even dark rose gray blanket and partial pattern on his face. A Paca Fun's Matirx is a dark headed gray out of our 8X Champion Adirondack. His fleece (in brown at the time) took second in a very large class in the World Fleece Competition in 2009. His Dam is a blue ribbon winning daughter of our 8X gray champion Silver Legend. Matrix has a very fine fleece with good architecture. His first crias have just hit the ground!

A mulit champion brown male, Memphis's best attribute is his stunning fleece. His excellent density, brightness and extremely well organized crimp architecture placed him as brown male hucaya champion at the 2009 AFCNA fleece show. Memphis is the get of our champion Accoyo King son, Stetson of Peru. Stetson was the "Lite" male champion at the 2004 MAPACA Jubilee. The Dam of Memphis is one of our best true black females.

Centurion is a fine son of Accoyo Royal Avenger. His strenghts include strong conformation, dense fleece with Accoyo style crimp. To date he has produced 100% colored cria, and gray every time bred to gray!

Of all of the wonderful qualities this male has, "Presence" is what comes first to mind. His is a calm and commanding presence, whether in the pasture or standing with a color banner. Judged by his show career Adirondack is one of the best fawn males in the USA. As of 7/10 he has been awarded 8 banners. His latest banner was at 55 months of age. He is the complete package; very fine, very dense, good crimp and long staple (his clip at 3 years of age was 12 lbs). A proven sire, he passes on these fine qualities to his offspring.

Covergirl is out of a long line of gray, black, and maroon, including such names as 5Peruvian Silverado, and 5 Peruvian Camelot. Her sire was the reserve black color champion at the MAPACA Jubilee (2001) Never shown herself, Covergirl has already produced show winning cria. Her brown male, A Paca Fun's Memphis (out of Stetson of Peru, beige) is a multi champion, winning both halter and fleece shows. Bred to Aussie .38 Special due fall 2013!

A maternal sister to Super Sonic, A Paca Fun's Felicity is an excellent producer! She is genetically gray, but her fleece is fine, dense and crimpy enough to win the blue ribbon as a white. Bred to solid she produced a modern gray and bred to classic silver she produced classic silver. She is currently bred back to Silver Legend for a repeat of her 2014 silver gray cria!

A Paca Fun's Gingersnap combined picture perfect conformation with excellent fleece. She has a history of color, from Royal Fawn and PPeruvian King to 5Peruvian Camelot and 5Peruvian Royal Inca Legend. Gingersnap has gray in her background on both sides of her pedigree, and will make a wonderful addition to both gray and solid color breeding programs. We think so much of Juniper’s line that we recently repurchased her 16 year old granddam! Juniper is the product of Avenger’s Centurian (Royal Fawn, SA Accoyo Royal Avenger) and a very fine silver gray dam. Juniper has proven herself in the show ring, both as a blue ribbon and banner winner. Out of a tuxedo gray dam and sired by a partially expressed gray, this fading beige girl is herself most likely a poorly expressed gray. She has the long staple length of her sire, with crimp and density to match. She is unrelated to any of our gray or black herd sires, and will likely produce gray or black when bred to a like sire. One of the few fawn Legacy daughters that is available in the market today. Amita retains a very nice crimp and soft fleece even at 7 years of age. A proven female, Principesa is a tuxedo silver gray out of two tuxedo grays, with nothing but tuxedo gray in her pedigree. Principesa is also a proven producer of wonderful tuxedo gray, and we retain her silver gray daughter Princessa in our breeding program. Principesa is also bred and ultrasound confirmed to A Paca Fun's Super Sonic.... Sonic has 14 championships, and was just awarded Judges Choice in halter! Given Principesa's proven track record of producing high quality offspring, we are very excited to see this cria!

Trinidad is a robust TB female, with solid color genetics on both sides of her pedigree. Her square, solid frame carries and equally impressive low amplitude high frequency crimp. She is currently bred to Aussie .38 Special for a spring 2014 cria. We expect either a tuxedo gray or TB cria from this pairing.

Autumn is a beautiful brown full Peruvian female. Her fleece is dense, well crimped, and has a long staple length. Her mother is a true black half sister to Silver Legend who produced our 3X champion black male Incognito. Her sire is Adirondack, and 8X champion, taking his last championship at almost 5 years of age! Autumn is currently bred to Aussie .38 Special for a fall 2013 cria!

Opal is a very nice black female. Her fleece has good fineness, crimp, and a long staple length. In addition, she has strong correct conformation and is well balanced. She is out of the Royal Fawn line on her sire's side, and the Danko line on her mothers side. Opal would make a great addition to a gray or black breeding program. She was bred to Silver Legend last year and this spring produced a stunning silver gray male! She is currently re-bred to Silver Legend of KPR whose outside breedings are closed!

The product of an outstanding Peruvian fawn female import and one of our best full pattern silver gray males, Paragon’s Firefly has the perfect gray phenotype, as well as fineness, good handle and consistent crimp structure. Her conformation is square and correct, along with a very typey head! Firefly is a sister to A Paca Fun's Super Sonic. We are often asked who the "purple" alpaca is by visitors to the farm :-) An excellent dam who has produced well (her Aussie .38 Special daughter from this year is set to be in our show string). Firefly has been exposed to Aussie .38 Special for a Fall 2017 cria. Her price will increase when pregnancy is confirmed.

Adele is a well built solid maroon daughter of Aussie .38 Special and true black dam. Her fleece is extremely bright, carries good crimp, and is ultra fine with stats of AFD 13.69 SD 3.19 CF 100%! She comes from a wonderful maternal line and would make an excellent production female. Adele is bred to A Paca Fun's Super Sonic for a fall 2016 cria.

A stunning maroon female, Cherry Bomb is a super fine and crimpy daughter of Aussie .38 Special and a classic silver gray Silver Legend daughter! Her 2015 histogram came back at AFD 13.98 SD 3.52 CF 100%! Add her wonderful fleece characteristics to a well built frame and typey head and you have a total package. Cherry Bomb is currently bred to Paragon's Silver Centar for a spring 2019 cria and comes with her current cria at side sired by Super Sonic!

We are digging into our production line up offering this stunning LRG dam. SaraLee is an outstanding example of what Avatar produces. Her upright and square conformation is paired with a very uniform, fine fleece with exceptional handle and brightness. Her histogram came back at AFD 17.0 / SD 3.4 / CV 20.0 / 0.7% >30! She is also a wonderful mother. She is pictured with her 2016 cria who is already sold. A true black daughter of Silver Legend, who so closely resembled her true black dam that naming her was easy. Carbon Copy is 9x banner winning A Paca Fun's Norrington's full sister, and is a champion in her own right. To date both of her offspring that are old enough have been in our show string and have been first place finishers. The only reason we are offering her for sale is we have 5 females from her maternal line that we are keeping in the program.
